I get it, I've been there...

I know how hopeless and scary it can feel to live with pain and other chronic health concerns but not have any answers or solutions in sight.

 

I know what it's like to obsess over food and your body image but feel frustrated that nothing you do seems to change it. I'm her to tell you that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

 

I have learnt so much about the human body, functional medicine and healing over the last 15 years as I worked to overcome my own health challenges and if I was able to heal my broken body then you can too.

 

I am here to support you and guide you the whole way. Through our weekly 1:1 sessions we work together to uncover & treat the root cause of your health concerns & co-create an action plan that can easily fit into your busy lifestyle.

 

Breaking old habits and creating new ones can be hard but together we work through any challenges that may arise and find the best solution to overcome them.

 

My approach is based on holistic healing with a focus on education, support and action from both your side and mine. We are a TEAM.

Functional Medicine

I once read a phrase that said – If the leaves on a plant start to turn brown, do you paint the leaves green again or do you figure out what is causing the leave to turn and fix that before the whole plant dies?

This is functional medicine. An integrative, science-based healthcare approach that looks at finding the root cause of a problem and treating it at the source, not only treating the symptoms that arise from the root problem. This root cause depends on an individual’s genes, environment, & lifestyle factors.

 

Only treatments that address the right cause will have lasting benefits, instead of just suppressing outward symptoms (i.e. Painting the leaves green)

Functional Nutrition

Functional Nutrition emphasizes the importance of high quality foods and incorporating phytonutrient
diversity to correct imbalances in the body and move people toward their highest expression
of health.

 

Through Advanced nutrition assessments and a thorough Functional Medicine based health history
we are able to create a personalized, therapeutic intervention to promote optimal health and the
prevention of diet-and lifestyle-related disease.

Stress Awareness & Managment

The body cannot heal when it is in a state of stress. Most people only pay attention to the emotional stressor (work, family, finances) yet neglect the other 2 stressors we encounter daily.

 

We experience regular stress in 3 forms: Mental, physical & chemical. All 3 need to be address if you want to improve your health, feel better & live a full life.

Developing a Greater Sense of Self-Worth

We only look after what we value. The reason many people are not looking after their health is actually because there is an underlying issue with their own self worth. If you want to be successful in living a healthy life, you need to first believe that you are worth of taking care of yourself. This is a crucial step that is often overlooked and it is why we throw in the towel before reaching our goals
